Technology in Education

I’m so pleased so many teachers are using technology to help communicate and plan lessons from all over the world! This article from TES.co.uk shows how technology and education go hand in hand, in fact as quoted in the piece, Mr Blagona, a teacher states “Subliminally students learn more (through using technology) than they think they do.” Although this handful of technologically forward teachers have broken through the barriers and are experimenting with technology in the classroom, it’s a far cry from the rest of the UK, some of who are still just using their SMARTboards as a standard whiteboard. It is important for teachers to realise that they can combine both new technology and more traditional ways of teaching, this will create a fabulous teaching and learning environment – helping to stimulate the minds of the children while encouraging them to interact.
