The SMART table continues to make a big splash everywhere I take it. I’m not sure what teachers are expecting when they see it, but they are usually amazed at the fact it can handle up to 40 simultaneous touch points. It’s so amazing because the a majority of the class can participate. Kids also love it because of its fun activities and it’s pretty cool!
I generally demonstrate and have teachers participate in several activities using the Table and its at that point I can see that this tool changes the way they think about collaborative learning in the classroom. At one school, an 8th grade teacher had his students develop activities for kids in the kindergarten class and then teach the activity to the students.
